1.0. GENERAL INFORMATION

1.2.1. Courtesy
The Los Santos Fire & Medical Department is tasked to be positive and polite when they're actively on-duty. It is important that the medic/firefighter exercises Courtesy when ever they go to patrol.
1.2.2. Professionalism
All LSFMD staff must be aware of departmental protocols, procedures, and policy, as they will define the overall outlook of the Fire Department. It is also important that a Medic/Firefighter of LSFMD acts as a professional.
1.2.3. Respect
The Los Santos Fire & Medical Department is tasked to act as respectfully as possible towards other Medics/Firefighters and citizens of Los Santos. Respect is a mutual thing, and it is important in LSFMD that medics respect a fellow human being.

1.3. Ranks Information:
1.3.1. Paramedic/Firefighter Trainee
The rank of Trainee is given to the fresh applicants. This rank is given to newly arrived employees into Fire & Medical Department to gain experiences of all aspects of their selected career. These employees can learn all the required skills for their future. The Trainee is given 14 days to attempt all of their training, including the exam, and if they fail to do so, then they will be removed from the department officially and have to apply again after 7 days.
1.3.2. Paramedic/Firefighter I
Paramedic/Firefighter I is also known as "EMT-I/EFT-I". When a Trainee passes all of their training and the final exam, then they are promoted to EMT-I/EFT-I, because they are now successfully permanent medical technicians or firefighters in the Fire & Medical Department. During this period, the individual has to work a lot at this rank and should have decided on their future division career.
1.3.3. Paramedic/Firefighter II
Paramedic/Firefighter II is also known as "EMT-II/EFT-II". The EMT-II/EFT-II are being watched by their seniors all the time, and after putting in all of their efforts, the current EMT-I/EFT-I is promoted to EMT-II/EFT-II.
1.3.4. Paramedic/Firefighter III
The Paramedic/Firefighter III is now known as an experienced employee in the Fire & Medical Department. The Paramedic/Firefighter holds responsibilities from this stage after receiving the promotion. The Paramedic/Firefighter has to assign duties to all his juniors to rank employees only; he has to make sure that the junior employees are doing fine.
1.3.5. Captain I
The Captain I is known as the first High Command ranker employee of the Fire & Medical Department. The Captain, I can hold the meeting, 10-1. The Captain I is tasked to handle the department if there are no senior rankers above them available in town. The Captain, I can only assign strikes to their junior rankers.
1.3.6. Captain II
The Captain II is known as the second High Command ranker employye of the Fire & Medical Department. The Captain II can take away their juniors' badges; they may assign the strikes, as well as remove them from the department officially or blacklisting them.
1.3.7. Battalion Chief
The Battalion Chief is also known as "District Chief". The Battalion Chief is the second highly respected employee hired by the Chief of Department.
1.3.8. Fire Chief
The Fire Chief is the one who runs the department. The Fire Chief is hired by the Governor of the State, who is a highly recommended and highly respected choice of the State Governor.

1.4. Division Information:
1.4.1. Human Resources
The Human Resources forms a small yet well-trained division that is in charge of recruiting new employees, training police initiates, keeping the database up to date, and responding to public grievances and inquiries. This division is split into the following sub-divisions:
1.4.1.1. Training & Recruitment
The Training and Recruitment sub-division is tasked with overseeing and training trainees during their Academy stages. Training and Recruitment members are expected to be thorough and to prepare the Trainee in their duties as a Medic or as a Firefighter. They are also in charge of processing various recruitment letters of applicants and interviewing them to ensure that only the best candidates are selected for the Department.
1.4.1.2. Administration & Public Relation
The Administration and Public Relations sub-division is tasked with the maintenance of the Department database and paperwork, ensuring it stays up to date and ordered. They are also in charge of being a point of contact between the general public and the Captain of the Department, answering public grievances and inquiries, and issuing press releases.
1.4.2. Doctorate Surgery
The Doctoral Surgery possesses well-experienced doctors who perform advanced or serious operations. There are fewer chances for the failure of the operation unless the doctor is not educated. This division required high skills in medical science and a university degree or from High School. This division is to investigate or treat a pathological condition, such as a disease or injury, to help improve bodily function or appearance, or to repair unwanted ruptured areas.
1.4.3. Fire Fighter
Firefighters typically do the following; Drive firetrucks and other emergency vehicles. Put out fires using water hoses, fire extinguishers, and water pumps. Find and rescue victims in burning buildings or in other emergencies. Firefighters respond to fires, accidents, and other incidents where there are risks to life and property. Full-time firefighters help protect the public in emergency situations. They respond to a wide variety of calls: as well as fires, they assist at car crashes, chemical spills, flooding, and water rescue.
1.4.4. Internal Affairs
The Internal Affairs is the disciplinary division of the department and is overseen by the Battalion Chief and Fire Chief of the Department. The I.A is responsible for issuing disciplinary actions, ranging from verbal warnings to terminations with bans, depending on the severity of an offending Medic's action. They are responsible for ensuring that the medic functions with the proper C.P.R ideology.

2.2. Radio Communication Information:
2.2.1. General Dispatch (( /r ))
General Dispatch is a type of Fire & Medical radio communication from which you can contact other San Andreas Fire & Medical units. General Dispatch is used for non-emergency communication. It is used to report yourself on-duty, call in a non-emergency transmission done. Using General Dispatch should start with your unit name or rank, followed by your badge number and your transmission shortly after. Random chatter should not be added to the transmission and should be kept as short as possible.
2.2.2. Department Radio
Department radio is a form of radio communication used to make contact with another department. Departmental Radio reaches other agencies; listed below are a few with the appropriate shortened form:
Los Santos Police Department - LSPD
Los Santos Fire & Medical Department - LSFMD
When using this communication method, your transmissions should begin with your faction name (LSFMD), followed by the unit number and the department you're contacting. You should never argue or have a random discussion on this channel. For private discussions, attempt to gain the other party's phone number and contact them privately. For example, LSFMD EMU-21 to LSPD 1L20, send traffic.
2.2.3. Central Dispatch (( Discord Dispatch ))
Central Dispatch is an emergency Dispatch, where you can give faster information to all members of LSFMD. Being connected to Central Dispatch during any department-wide alert situation is mandatory, and people who fail to connect to it face disciplinary action for it. If you're connected to the dispatch, you should only give out information that is useful to an ongoing situation, or you're in emergency distress. Examples of the usage would be - taking heavy fire, treating the patient, bringing the patient to headquarters, etc.


3.0. Patrol Information:


The unit numbers are followed by the number of chains. The initial for the unit will be "21". As the number Two (2) stands for Station-02, Glen Park. The second number, which is One (1), is identified as the first active patrolling unit. If there is someone using EMS-21 or EMU-21, then the next formation of the unit must be EMS-22 or EMU-22.

3.1. Patrol Call-signs:
3.1.1. EMS
This call-sign is used for solo regular patrolling ambulances.
3.1.2. EMU
This call-sign is used for partnered regular patrolling ambulances.
3.1.3. FIRE
This call-sign is used for firetrucks manned by firefighters.
3.1.4. CHF
This call-sign is used for the Battalion Chief and the Fire Chief for their Rancher unit.
3.1.5. AIR
This call-sign is used for air units - for Helicopters.

3.2. Patrol Regulations:
3.2.1. Patrolling as Paramedic/Firefighter Trainee
Trainees are generally students in the LSFMD academy, and hence, are not allowed any type of duty. They are expected to remain at reception duty often and help out visiting civilians. They are expected to complete their assigned Academy course, and only when they are required to gain the knowledge they patrol with EMT-I/EFT-I and above. A Trainee violating the above may face disciplinary actions.
3.2.2. Patrolling as Paramedic/Firefighter I or above
Any Paramedic/Firefighter I and all the ranks above him are allowed to patrol in a group or solo. During patrols, the medic/firefighter periodically gives reports about his patrol and surroundings. They are expected to keep their GPS turned on and be connected to the Central Dispatch at all times. During any situation, they are expected to quickly relay information to other units and to keep their Beacon active. A medic/firefighter is not allowed to idle or mess around during active patrol.
3.2.3. Driving on patrol
Whilst on patrol, you are expected to follow driving laws at all times, such as using the correct lane of travel and stopping at every intersection. You are to drive safely and represent the Los Santos Fire & Medical Department properly. The only exemption to this rule is when you are responding to a call with Status-5e only; status-5 won't be allowed for an exception to this rule.
3.2.4. Solo patrolling
Medics/Firefighters ranked Paramedic/Firefighter I or above are entitled to Solo patrols unless another Medic/Firefighter needs a partner. If anyone decides to patrol alone, they need to ensure that they patrol in a sector that has another unit patrolling it, to make a backup response faster. The Trainee is not allowed to participate in any active situations, as is the norm for their rank. It is still recommended for trainees to stick to units of two for safety precautions, as well as to increase duty efficiency. If found patrolling alone in isolated sectors, disciplinary actions can be issued.


4.0. Uniforms

4.1.4. Lieutenant to Chief
White LSFD issue shirt, any sleeve length, white t-shirt under.
Black male's duty trousers with a black multi-purpose utility belt.

4.2. Equipment:
4.2.1. Radio
Every medic or firefighter is issued two radios, one with the LSFD faction frequency and another with the inter-departmental frequency. The medic or firefighter is expected to carry them around at all times and to report their status or any ongoing situation. In the case of the worst scenarios, the radio can also be tracked with the right equipment. The most preferable location to attach your radios is on your shoulder.
4.2.2. First-aid
First-aid is an optional item, but equally useful in the field. Although every medic or firefighter, the vehicle is equipped with a BLS (Basic Life Saver) kit in the trunk, a first-aid pouch is more useful on the field, when BLS or medical services are not available. The first-aid pouches should carry basic sedatives, bandages, gauze, painkillers, and antiseptics.
4.2.3. Firearms
It is prohibited to use or carry a firearm whilst on-duty, unless holding a licensed Conceal Carry Firearm permit from the Los Santos Police Department (LSPD).


5.0. Department Policies

5.1. Disciplinary Actions:
The Strike action system was brought. This was done because the system was deemed too static and outdated when it came to issuing physical punishments to employees who had committed misconduct. Every employee of LSFD is obliged to report any form of employee misconduct by colleagues to the High Command team. Failure to report any form of misconduct or unwanted behavior can result in strike action being issued. Furthermore, if you are found intentionally covering up for the said misbehaving employee, you will most likely face termination or even a faction ban. The punishment will depend on the severity of the situation.
5.1.1. Strike - 1
The first strike X will be issued for conducting inappropriate behavior while on-duty, sleeping while on-duty (( AFK )), and giving your friend, parent, or whomever a ride-along. The employee will receive the first strike - this will be a first warning. This strike is only for ON-DUTY.
5.1.2. Strike - 2
The second strike XX will be issued on any kind of modification over department vehicles, found recklessly driving while on-duty, or ignoring the calls. At receiving the second strike, the employee will be demoted, and for trainees, they will be removed from the department. This strike is only for ON-DUTY.
5.1.3. Strike -3
The third strike XXX will be issued for verbally abusing while on-duty, abusing LSFD tools. Upon receiving the third strike, you will be suspended from the department depending on the situation you created. This strike is only for ON-DUTY.
5.1.4. Strike - 4
The fourth strike XXXX will be issued on committing any physically harmful behavior, such as an attempt at murder while on-duty, or stealing a vehicle. Upon receiving the fourth strike, you will be blacklisted from the department, which means you will no longer be able to apply for LSFD ever again. This strike is for both ON-DUTY & OFF-DUTY.

2.2.3. Central Dispatch (( Discord Dispatch ))
Central Dispatch is an emergency Dispatch, where you can give faster information to all members of LSFMD. Being connected to Central Dispatch during any department-wide alert situation is mandatory, and people who fail to connect to it face disciplinary action for it. If you're connected to the dispatch, you should only give out information that is useful to an ongoing situation, or you're in emergency distress. Examples of the usage would be - taking heavy fire, treating the patient, bringing the patient to headquarters, etc.


3.0. Patrol Information:


The unit numbers are followed by the number of chains. The initial for the unit will be "21". As the number Two (2) stands for Station-02, Glen Park. The second number, which is One (1), is identified as the first active patrolling unit. If there is someone using EMS-21 or EMU-21, then the next formation of the unit must be EMS-22 or EMU-22.

3.1. Patrol Call-signs:
3.1.1. EMS
This call-sign is used for solo regular patrolling ambulances.
3.1.2. EMU
This call-sign is used for partnered regular patrolling ambulances.
3.1.3. FIRE
This call-sign is used for firetrucks manned by firefighters.
3.1.4. CHF
This call-sign is used for the Battalion Chief and the Fire Chief for their Rancher unit.
3.1.5. AIR
This call-sign is used for air units - for Helicopters.

3.2. Patrol Regulations:
3.2.1. Patrolling as Paramedic/Firefighter Trainee
Trainees are generally students in the LSFMD academy, and hence, are not allowed any type of duty. They are expected to remain at reception duty often and help out visiting civilians. They are expected to complete their assigned Academy course, and only when they are required to gain the knowledge they patrol with EMT-I/EFT-I and above. A Trainee violating the above may face disciplinary actions.
3.2.2. Patrolling as Paramedic/Firefighter I or above
Any Paramedic/Firefighter I and all the ranks above him are allowed to patrol in a group or solo. During patrols, the medic/firefighter periodically gives reports about his patrol and surroundings. They are expected to keep their GPS turned on and be connected to the Central Dispatch at all times. During any situation, they are expected to quickly relay information to other units and to keep their Beacon active. A medic/firefighter is not allowed to idle or mess around during active patrol.
3.2.3. Driving on patrol
Whilst on patrol, you are expected to follow driving laws at all times, such as using the correct lane of travel and stopping at every intersection. You are to drive safely and represent the Los Santos Fire & Medical Department properly. The only exemption to this rule is when you are responding to a call with Status-5e only; status-5 won't be allowed for an exception to this rule.
3.2.4. Solo patrolling
Medics/Firefighters ranked Paramedic/Firefighter I or above are entitled to Solo patrols unless another Medic/Firefighter needs a partner. If anyone decides to patrol alone, they need to ensure that they patrol in a sector that has another unit patrolling it, to make a backup response faster. The Trainee is not allowed to participate in any active situations, as is the norm for their rank. It is still recommended for trainees to stick to units of two for safety precautions, as well as to increase duty efficiency. If found patrolling alone in isolated sectors, disciplinary actions can be issued.


4.0. Uniforms

4.1.2. Female Uniform

4.1.3. EMT-B to Paramedic
Medium Blue LSFD issue shirt, any sleeve length, white t-shirt under.

4.1.4. Lieutenant to Chief
White LSFD issue shirt, any sleeve length, white t-shirt under.
Black male's duty trousers with a black multi-purpose utility belt.
Black lace boots.

4.2. Equipment:
4.2.1. Radio
Every medic or firefighter is issued two radios, one with the LSFD faction frequency and another with the inter-departmental frequency. The medic or firefighter is expected to carry them around at all times and to report their status or any ongoing situation. In the case of the worst scenarios, the radio can also be tracked with the right equipment. The most preferable location to attach your radios is on your shoulder.
4.2.2. First-aid
First-aid is an optional item, but equally useful in the field. Although every medic or firefighter, the vehicle is equipped with a BLS (Basic Life Saver) kit in the trunk, a first-aid pouch is more useful on the field, when BLS or medical services are not available. The first-aid pouches should carry basic sedatives, bandages, gauze, painkillers, and antiseptics.
4.2.3. Firearms
It is prohibited to use or carry a firearm whilst on-duty, unless holding a licensed Conceal Carry Firearm permit from the Los Santos Police Department (LSPD).


5.0. Department Policies

5.1. Disciplinary Actions:
The Strike action system was brought. This was done because the system was deemed too static and outdated when it came to issuing physical punishments to employees who had committed misconduct. Every employee of LSFD is obliged to report any form of employee misconduct by colleagues to the High Command team. Failure to report any form of misconduct or unwanted behavior can result in strike action being issued. Furthermore, if you are found intentionally covering up for the said misbehaving employee, you will most likely face termination or even a faction ban. The punishment will depend on the severity of the situation.
5.1.1. Strike - 1
The first strike X will be issued for conducting inappropriate behavior while on-duty, sleeping while on-duty (( AFK )), and giving your friend, parent, or whomever a ride-along. The employee will receive the first strike - this will be a first warning. This strike is only for ON-DUTY.
5.1.2. Strike - 2
The second strike XX will be issued on any kind of modification over department vehicles, found recklessly driving while on-duty, or ignoring the calls. At receiving the second strike, the employee will be demoted, and for trainees, they will be removed from the department. This strike is only for ON-DUTY.
5.1.3. Strike -3
The third strike XXX will be issued for verbally abusing while on-duty, abusing LSFD tools. Upon receiving the third strike, you will be suspended from the department depending on the situation you created. This strike is only for ON-DUTY.
5.1.4. Strike - 4
The fourth strike XXXX will be issued on committing any physically harmful behavior, such as an attempt at murder while on-duty, or stealing a vehicle. Upon receiving the fourth strike, you will be blacklisted from the department, which means you will no longer be able to apply for LSFD ever again. This strike is for both ON-DUTY & OFF-DUTY.
